Accounts Payable Assistant
Artemis are proud to be working in partnership with this established commercial business, as they launch the next stage of their growth plans. They will be hiring for a trainee AP professional as part of this growth.
This role is ideal for an early career Accounts professional, Graduate or Administrative Assistant keen to pursue a career in Accounts. You will join a business that values continuous improvement in the workplace and places a big emphasis on creating a great culture.
The Role
Reporting to the Management Accountants and AP Lead, the role will manage the full AP process for designated group companies. Typical duties include:
- Processing and checking purchase invoices for payment
- Reconciling supplier statements.
- Dealing with supplier queries.
- Process supplier payments – Regular and ad hoc.
- Ensure all adequate controls are maintained around the payment process, including intercompany
- Liaise with purchasing teams across the Group.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
- Assist in month end close of all purchase ledgers.
The person
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following criteria:
- 1- 2 years in an Administrative role OR 1-2 years in an Accounts Admin role OR Recent Accounts Graduate
- Excellent IT skills – especially Excel.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Attention to detail
- Proven Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise
- Great communication skills, with the ability to build good relationships
