Senior Customer Account Manager – Global Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Senior Customer Account Manager to join a Global Manufacturing firm going through considerable growth. You will manage and grow complex, high-value customer accounts. You will develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, drive account performance, and ensure customer needs are met while identifying new business opportunities.

This role combines strategic account management, commercial oversight, and operational coordination across multi-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the customer organisation.
  • Act as the “voice of the customer” internally to ensure priorities are addressed.
  • Monitor and drive performance against KPIs (delivery, quality, responsiveness).
  • Manage contract performance, including margin, risk, and compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional reviews with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Translate customer forecasts and demand signals into internal capacity and resource plans.
  • Provide regular reporting, trend analysis, and insight-driven business reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and customer experience enhancement.
  • Support new product introduction, configuration changes, and engineering collaboration.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience managing complex customer relationships in aerospace, engineering, or similar industries.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating contracts.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable operating strategically while managing day-to-day delivery.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and people skills.
  • Proficiency with KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Postgraduate or professional qualifications in programme management, commercial management, or account leadership preferred.
  • Relevant industrial/manufacturing experience.
