Position Overview:
As a Medical Negligence Solicitor, you will play a key role in assisting clients who have suffered due to medical errors, misdiagnoses, and other forms of clinical negligence. You will manage a varied caseload, provide expert legal advice, and represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings, striving to secure the best possible outcome for them.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a range of medical negligence cases, including surgical errors, misdiagnoses, and birth injuries, from initiation to resolution.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis.
- Provide clear, concise legal advice to clients, translating complex medical negligence law into understandable terms.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in medical law and emerging legal precedents.
- Maintain detailed case records and documentation to ensure compliance and case integrity.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court when required.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience (PQE) in medical negligence or clinical malpractice law.
- Strong understanding of medical negligence legislation and legal frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
