Head of Corporate Sales – ICC Belfast – Exclusive Opportunity

Reporting to the Sales Direct, the Head of Corporate Sales is responsible for identifying and securing new business events and conferences for ICC Belfast, primarily from the Corporate sector both locally and internationally.
The postholder will manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contracting, lead cross-functional project teams, and devise and execute effective business development and sales plans. Regular reporting and forecasting to assist with management decisions will also be required. Key Duties
Business Development and Sales
- Generate new commercial opportunities to secure multi-year deals within the conferencing market
- Develop key commercial partnerships with agencies and other influential stakeholders in the UK/Ireland and International markets, developing a pipeline of sales opportunities of and maximising the brand awareness and visibility of ICC Belfast.
- Primarily opening new business in geographical areas throughout UK and Ireland moving toward international markets.
- Organise and attend sales calls, exhibitions/ tradeshows, client meetings and events predominately across UK/Ireland.
- Contribute to the conferencing commercial finance forecasts and budgets to reach in-year targets to include all additional services and catering commission revenue.
- Conceptualise, attend and participate in ICC Belfast hosted events aimed at educating target markets on relevant topics.
Management
- Effectively manage the sales budget to ensure that sales and revenue targets are met and exceeded.to manage customer relationships and manage the sales pipeline.
- Assist in the development, implementation and administration of all relevant policies, processes and procedures.
- Provide the sales director with accurate up to date sales, pipeline, activity metrics and other relevant management information.
Strategy
- Contribute to the strategic and overall development of BWUH Ltd. Through participation and collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team
- Make recommendations based on published research and insight to help inform departmental and organisational strategy.
- Report on sales activity on a monthly basis to the executive leadership team and to the board of directors when required.
- Follow appropriate tender processes in line with the company’s procurement policies to appoint new suppliers.
- Participate in all appropriate and relevant induction and in-service training and in the induction and support of all newly appointed staff.
Essential Criteria
- 3rd level qualification in a relevant subject such as Marketing, Business or an equivalent qualification in a related field.
- Minimum of four years sales and business development experience with a proven track record of generating and closing new business opportunities to deliver results, meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Demonstrable passion for building relationships and anticipating and satisfying customer needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to deliver effective presentations at a senior level and experience of pitching for new business.
- Applicants must have experience in effectively managing performance and activity of a sales team, and a proven track record of setting and driving sales targets as well as sales pipeline management.
- Excellent sales management experience including pipeline management and CRM.
- Currently hold the right to travel without restriction as well as a full driver’s license.
