Finance Manager – Cavan

This is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role within a high volume manufacturing facility environment. This position is responsible for the day to day management of the finance function, leading monthly reporting, supporting financial planning cycles, and acting as a key business partner across operational teams. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with strong manufacturing experience and a hands on, solutions driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close and deliver management accounts and performance dashboards
• Analyse financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights to operations teams
• Support annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cost improvement tracking
• Prepare value stream profit & loss accounts, standard cost calculations, and flash reports
• Ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements and internal controls (SOX, audit readiness)
• Partner with operational teams on OPEX management, capital expenditure, and grant claims
• Provide financial evaluation of business cases and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support internal and external audits, and drive control enhancements
• Act as deputy for the Financial Controller as required

Qualifications & Skills: 

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a manufacturing environment
• In-depth understanding of standard costing and factory finance operations
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system preferred
• Prior exposure to Shared Services environments advantageous
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills
