Artemis Executive Search had been successfully retained by KDM Hire the leading plant hire and equipment rental specialists throughout the Island of Ireland as they look to appoint a commercially driven Finance Director. A dynamic family-run company with over 30 years in business and over 220+ staff across their 6 sites in NI & ROI, turnover exceeding 30 million with year-on-year growth for the last 3 years, KDM have huge plans to continue this development with the Finance Director playing a pivotal role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial planning strategies to support the company’s short-term and long-term objectives. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to guide decision-making processes.
• Oversee the allocation and management of the annual CAPEX spend.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and cash flow projections. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Motivate and lead a team within the accounts department of 8 – Setting deadlines and the exacting standards required within a finance department.
• Business partner with commercial teams (procurement, sales) and advise from a financial aspect to ensure efficiencies across the business.
• Presenting group financials to the Board of Directors.
• Liaising with all financial Institutions, banks and government institutions e.g. Invest NI

Ideal Candidate:

• Fully Qualified Accountant (CAI, ACCA or CIMA)
• 5+ Years PQE Accountant
• Currently operating at FC or FD for 20+ million turnover business
• Experience of large CAPEX spend.
• A clear contributor at board level with proven presentation skills
• Focused on continual improvement across the organisation supported by strong financial input and appropriate KPIs.
