Company Accountant
DESCRIPTION
Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be working exclusively with an excellent business in Belfast to appoint a Company Accountant to join their small finance team.
They have expanded into new territories and need a highly commercial company account to come on board and streamline their finance function. This position offers clear progression to Financial Controller for the right candidate.
This role will suit a qualified accountant seeking to make a move toward Financial controller but will equally suit a part qualified or qualified by experience accountant with the relevant skills.
The Role:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations
- Asset finance management
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Day to day oversight of sales and purchase ledger
- Processing monthly payroll
- Monthly cash flow reporting
- Preparation of budgets
- Preparation of year end statements and liaising with external auditors
- Preparation of monthly finance report and present to the senior management team each month
The Person:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Qualified by experience will also be considered
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills
