Company Accountant – Exclusive

An established, family-owned Belfast business is seeking an experienced Company Accountant to lead its finance function and oversee a small accounts team.

This is a key role within a well-respected, multi-entity business operating across several related companies. While there are multiple entities, the structure is straightforward and well-established, offering a stable and manageable accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
• Oversight of purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• VAT returns and statutory compliance
• Year-end preparation and liaison with external accountants
• Budgeting and financial planning
• Continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
• Supervise, mentor and development a small team

The Person

• An accountant with 10+ years experience (qualified by experience or part-qualified)
• Experienced in managing accounts across multiple entities
• Confident supervising or leading a small team
• Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
• Proactive, organised and comfortable working in a family-owned business environment
