The Role
You will take ownership of the performance and strategic direction of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring strong financial controls, operational efficiency, and best-in-class supplier management.
Key areas of focus include:

Leading and developing the AP function through capable Team Leads
-
Ensuring robust governance and internal controls across payments and supplier accounts
-
Driving automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency
-
Managing complex supplier issues and escalations
-
Delivering clear reporting on creditor balances and payment forecasts
-
Partnering with finance and operational leadership across the business
About You
We are keen to speak with experienced Accounts Payable leaders who bring:

Proven experience managing high-volume AP teams
-
Strong leadership capability, particularly managing through Team Leads or layered team structures
-
Solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and supplier account management
-
Track record of improving AP processes and operational performance
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience within construction, engineering, or project-based environments would be beneficial.
