Accounts Assistant – AP

Artemis Human Capital is currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join a busy and well-established finance team within a growing organisation based in Lisburn.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in a busy Accounts setting who enjoys variety, structure, and working as part of a collaborative team. The position offers exposure across accounts payable, expenses, reconciliations, and month-end support, making it suitable for candidates looking to develop their finance career in a stable environment.

What You’ll Be DoingAs Accounts Assistant, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the accounts payable function, ensuring supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.

You will work closely with procurement, operations, and the wider finance team, helping to keep financial processes running smoothly.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable & Expenses

  • Process supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation
  • Resolve invoice and pricing queries with internal teams and suppliers
  • Manage employee expense claims and allocate costs correctly

Payments & Reconciliations

  • Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Support bank reconciliations and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate supplier account records

Month-End & Cashflow Support

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and prepayments
  • Maintain schedules of upcoming payments to support cashflow planning
  • Provide support with ad hoc finance tasks as required
About YouYou will be organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working with numbers in a deadline-driven environment. You enjoy working as part of a team and are happy to take ownership of routine tasks while developing your broader finance skillset.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

  • Experience in an accounts or finance administration role
  • Good understanding of invoice processing and payment procedures
  • Comfortable using Excel and finance systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience working in a high-volume or multi-currency environment
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as Intact IQ or SAP
  • Accounting Technician qualification or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or working towards)
