Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a leading commercial NI business, to help them hire an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their thriving Finance function.

The role
The role will support timely & accurate preparation of Management Accounts for your section of the business, typical duties will include:
- Lead in the preparation and reporting of certain aspects of operating expenditure against budget; including analysing expenditure, calculating appropriate accruals/prepayments; identifying variances, preparing explanatory commentary and presentation of results to senior members of the finance team & key business partners,
- Support the Management Accountant to increase the visibility on operational performance
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for your specific areas, highlighting overdue/queried balances.
- Maintenance of all master data, including effective version control and traceability of costs back to source
- Ongoing monitoring and audit of all rate changes within master data for each division.
- Lead in the preparation of the annual budget process for your specific area of the Profit & Loss statement
The person:
You will be an experienced Assistant Accountant with many of the below qualities / skills / experience:
- Part Qualified accountant or minimum 5 years industry experience
- Intermediate / advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and financial process experience.
- Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines
- Resilient with the ability to work in a demanding fast paced environment
